Ana de Armas grew emotional on the premiere of her Marilyn Monroe biopic, “Blonde,” on the Venice Movie Pageant.
The movie landed a 14-minute standing ovation on Thursday, the place de Armas was seen wiping tears from her face and hugging her costar, Adrien Brody.
The actress stars as Monroe within the film, which was tailored from Joyce Carol Oates’ novel of the identical title. Brody performs her third husband, Arthur Miller.
Brody had earlier praised her efficiency on the movie’s press convention, saying de Armas was in a position to transport him “to a different time and place.”
De Armas informed the UK’s Sunday Instances that the function required lots of preparation.
‘It took me 9 months of dialect teaching, and practising and a few further dialogue alternative classes [to perfect the accent]. It was a giant torture, so exhausting. My mind was fried,” she informed the outlet.
