Legendary singer-songwriter David Crosby dies at 81

David Crosby, the legendary singer-songwriter and founding member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Younger, has died, a supply near the musician confirmed Thursday. He was 81.

Crosby was born in Los Angeles and joined the Byrds in 1964, scoring their first hit with Bob Dylan’s “Mr. Tambourine Man.”

Crosby, Stills & Nash — later referred to as Crosby, Stills, Nash & Younger when joined by musician Neil Younger — have been based the next yr and launched a sequence of hits with “Marrakesh Categorical,” “Only a Music Earlier than I Go,” “Woodstock” and others.

Crosby was inducted to the Rock & Roll Corridor of Fame twice — as soon as in 1991 with the Byrds and once more six years later with Crosby, Stills & Nash.
