Producer Ed Zwick has revealed Julia Roberts was purported to be part of his movie Shakespeare in Love. Roberts was purported to be forged as Viola de Lesseps, a task that finally landed Gwyneth Paltrow an Oscar.

In an essay for Air Mail, Zwick writes that the Fairly Girl star, then 24, unexpectedly deserted the undertaking following some unsuccessful chemistry reads.

Zwick who was excited to forged Roberts revealed that she discovered fault in all of the co-stars.
