The Taliban governor of Afghanistan’s Balkh province was killed in a blast at his workplace on Thursday, police stated.
“Two individuals, together with Mohammad Dawood Muzammil, the governor of Balkh, have been killed in an explosion this morning,” the province’s police spokesman Asif Waziri advised reporters. He stated it was unclear what triggered the blast.
In line with worldwide media experiences, the incident occurred at round 9:30 am when the governor arrived at his workplace from residence.
“In the present day round 9am a blast passed off contained in the second ground of the governor’s workplace, because of the blast (governor) Mawlawi Mohammad Dawood Muzamil has been killed with two civilians,” stated Mohammed Asif Waziri, Balkh’s police spokesperson.
