Affect of sea ice loss on climate, chilly air outbreaks focus of NSF CAREER Award — Penn State Meteorology and Atmospheric Science

Melissa Gervais, assistant professor of meteorology and atmospheric science and co-hire in Penn State’s Institute for Computational and Information Sciences (ICDS), acquired a five-year $874,000 School Early Profession Improvement (CAREER) award from the Nationwide Science Basis to research the influence of sea ice loss on large-scale patterns of atmospheric variability and chilly air outbreaks.
