Dialogue

An unusually cool air mass stays entrenched within the Mid-Atlantic area and an upper-level low spinning overhead will maintain it fairly unsettled right here at mid-week.  With chilly air aloft, any daytime heating will rapidly end in destabilization of the environment resulting in clouds, scattered rain showers and maybe even a rumble of thunder. The air is chilly sufficient that some higher-elevation spots to our north and west can expertise small hail or graupel blended in with the rain later immediately and tonight. The climate will get quieter and milder on the finish of the week and the weekend is shaping up fairly properly.
