The Writers Guild of America strike has put brakes on Sport of Thrones new spinoff A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight.
Writing on his weblog, George R. R. Martin confirmed the writers’ strike has halted the fantasy present.
“The author’s room on A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS: THE HEDGE KNIGHT has closed for the length,” he penned.
“[Showrunner] Ira Parker and his unbelievable employees of younger skills are on the picket traces.” the author mentioned.
Nonetheless, one other prequel Home of the Dragon is on its path to completion, after its season two scripts have been prepared.
“Dragon began filming April 11 and can proceed in London and Wales,” including, “The scripts for the eight s2 episodes have been all completed months in the past, lengthy earlier than the strike started.
Each episode has gone by way of 4 or 5 drafts and quite a few rounds of revisions, to deal with HBO notes, my notes, price range issues, and many others. There might be no additional revisions. The writers have finished their jobs; the remainder is within the arms of the administrators, forged and crew… and naturally the dragons.”
